NEW PARTNERS & EXCITING DEVELOPMENTS FOR SHP!

Long Now Foundation
In January of 2006, SHP began providing media service to The Long Now Foundation. An institution with many fascinating campaigns, the foundation has a seminar series called 'Seminars About Long-term Thinking' (SALT). The series meets once a month in San Francisco and is open to the public. It brings in presenters from across the country to discuss how a variety of issues can be benefited by looking at them through the lens of the "long now". This is a deep thinking and extremely important organization and we encourage you to visit their website and check out the media we are creating for them.

TreeHugger TV
TreeHugger.com is the most visited environmental Blog on the internet and its founder, Graham Hill, was featured in the April 2006 'green issue' of Vanity Fair. Shoulder High Productions has teamed up with TreeHugger and we are now producing fast paced, short video stories for TreeHugger TV. You can visit the ever updated TreeHugger.com daily and subscribe to TreeHuggerTV though iTunes to catch all the interesting video stories. Keep an eye out for SHP's work and give us feedback or suggestions for a new story! Our first project with them debuted in June of 06.

CalCars
Also in April SHP started creating the media services for CalCars, an advocacy group dedicated to showing the auto industry that consumers are more than interested in the option of 100+ mpg cars. That's right, with today's technology, CalCars and other have figured out how to modify many different Hybrids to allow you the option of plugging it into a normal 110v socket and fueling your added batteries with electricity that’s under $1/gallon. SHP hopes your best friend doesn't work at a gas station, because while you can and do still have to visit the gas station when your tank is empty, with a car that gives you around 30 miles a day of commuting off electrical power alone and a net of 100+ mpg - we think you'll be going there far less often than you have been.

Champions For Us All
Thank you all for your support of Champions For Us All. Our fundraising campaign brought in a flattering amount of money to go towards creating this story. We unfortunately did not accumulate enough funds to travel with Conservation International on their most recent conservation trips. We have, however, been hard at work redeveloping the story to pull in more institutional support engaging characters. Some exciting prospects are on the table with the right kind of partners that might be able to help us turn this into the high end television documentary we have designed it to be. Stay Tuned!!!

>> You can still read the great letters sent out in support of this important project by Conservation International, KQED and the Bay Area Video Coalition.

ScienCentral News
For over three years now SHP has been ScienCentral News' Northern California production company of choice. And we're darn proud of it! ScienCentral News is a NSF funded organization with the mission of explaining the mysteries of groundbreaking and news worthy science to the general public. This is as important a mission as any these days as we have grown so dependent on Science and technology to solve so many of our modern and ancient problems. ScienCentral News is not only trying to keep us up to date with what happening in the world of science, but they're trying to inspire the next generation of budding scientists and engineers. Give them a visit and if there's a story with a scientist out in California (or Madagascar!), we most likely shot the story for them.
